Portal-One Consulting, Inc. was formed in late 1997 after its founder, Dave Simmons, decided to launch a new concept in web hosting consultation service, utilizing professional computer, database and programming resources and tools to provide the best in internet services.
Starting from his home office in Woodstock, GA, Portal-One Consulting first supplied its products to local individuals and small businesses, then to regional and national companies. Beginning with one, under-powered UNIX server and some rudimentary web page designs, Portal-One Consulting has expanded to include several UNIX and Linux servers and more spohisticated web design tools to satisfy the most discrimnating clients, along with resourses to meet the needs of the growing e-commerce, B2B and individual clients, including remote email services.
Now, Portal-One Consulting has partnered with CCC, Inc. to sell its services to shops and businesses all over the world. using the Internet for 98% of their own transactions, making Portal-One Consulting a truly online enterprise.
